Terms & Conditions
Last updated March 2026
1. Acceptance
By using Epistle, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
2. What Epistle does
Epistle is a tool that helps you compose a formatted email newsletter and save it as a draft in your own Gmail account. Epistle does not send emails on your behalf — you retain full control over your drafts and decide whether, when, and to whom to send them.
3. Your content
You are solely responsible for the content you create using Epistle, including the text you write and the photos you upload. By using Epistle, you confirm that:
- You have the right to use and share any content you submit.
- Your content does not violate any applicable laws.
- You will not use Epistle to send spam, harassment, or illegal content.
4. Google account
Epistle requires a Google account and uses Google OAuth to authenticate you. Your use of Google services is governed by Google's own Terms of Service. Epistle requests only the minimum permissions necessary (gmail.compose) and cannot access your existing emails.
5. No data storage
Epistle does not maintain a database. Your content is processed in memory for the duration of your session and is not retained after your draft is created. As a result, we cannot recover content on your behalf if something goes wrong during submission.
6. No warranty
Epistle is provided as-is, by a single independent developer, with no guarantee of uptime, reliability, or fitness for any particular purpose. We do our best, but we can't promise the app will always work perfectly.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Epistle and its developer are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of content, failed email delivery, or interruptions in service.
8. Changes to the service
Epistle may be modified, paused, or discontinued at any time without notice. We're a one-person project and reserve the right to make changes as needed.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Epistle after changes constitutes acceptance.
